Club Make-Up and Fetish Ball present the 9th Annual Halloween Masquerade Ball on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at Key Club. The night will feature performances by the Make-Up All Stars with special guests and a sexy fashion show featuring corsets by Puimond Progressive Corset Design. The Plush VIP room will be hosted by Showtime’s new series “Masters of Horror.” Doors for the event open at 9:00 PM and tickets are $15.00. Club Make-Up, brainchild of promoters Joseph Brooks and Jason Lavitt, is a night of extravagance and outrageousness that has been a part of the LA nightlife scene for some time. For over 3 ½ years Club Make-Up made its home at the El Rey Theatre, throwing monthly bashes each with a different theme. Some of the most memorable events include: a celebration of Led Zepplin with the Make-Up All Stars band and special guest vocalist Linda Perry, the 25th Anniversary party for the “Rocky Horror Picture Show”, a themed “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” event with the New York based Hedwig performers, and the Marilyn Monroe DVD Box set and Dynasty DVD box set release parties. Some of the other artists that have performed with the Make-Up All-Stars include Duran Duran, The Cult, and Alexis Arquette.

Showtime is debuting “Masters of Horror” at the end of the month on their network. The new series is a compilation of thirteen new and original one-hour movies from the master directors behind some of the scariest movies in the history of film including: Tobe Hooper (“Texas Chainsaw Massacre”), John Carpenter (“Halloween”), and John Landis (“ An American Werewolf in London”). Showtime’s new 13 part series will host the Plush VIP room the night of the Ball, screening the films and creating some excitement and debauchery of their own.
