Today erotic writing is no longer a male prerogative. Now women are celebrating their own sexuality through a variety of forms, including erotic fiction. Here are twenty pieces from women writers aged between 23 and 58, exploring every aspect of the female sexual experience - married and single, lesbian and heterosexual. With insight, with humour, with outright eroticism they reaffirm every woman's right to pleasures and adventures of sex. |
Most important, the women who contributed stories for Erotic Interludes enjoyed doing so. One woman called it a 'wonderful experience. It is about being there and not hiding, not holding back any feelings. And it's great to know that this story will be out there turning on these people. It is like having one massive love affair. Chapter 1, Adventure and Risk The theme of adventure and its inherent risks seems to play a central role in creating eroticism in the majority of the stories written by women. The fear of being caught dates back in most people's lives to adolescence, when the accelerated heartbeat that accompanied the newness of sexual exploration was coupled with the fear of parents arriving home unexpectedly, or of a policeman shining a flashlight into the fogged-up windows of a car. Story Overview The book is somewhat split into two, with the first chapter, going on about adventure and risks etc, following onto a few short stories, on that section. Part 2 was mystery, Part 3 was the Forbidden, and Part 4 was the Moment. Summary I will be honest,
but no disrespect to Lonnie Barbach, I felt as if I was reading a sociology
book, instead of a book on erotica. It was a very hard book to read,
which I was glad to be at the end of. |
