Instructions for creating your own gallery and uploading your photo(s) into our Photo Galleries Section

Hi everyone, this page is here for anyone who's thinking of posting pictures to our site and/or having trouble working our photo gallery system. Here you'll find step by step instructions in how to create your own gallery and/or upload photos.

BEFORE YOU START!

Read our policy on photo submissions - This is mandatory before posting!

Disable any popup blocking tools before trying to create a gallery!

1 - Register as a member if you are not one already

Before you can create a gallery or upload any photos, you need to become a member if you're not already. Click the "register" link in the top left and fill out the form. You must provide a valid email, and click the conformation link in the email you receive from the site within 24 hours to activate your account. Once you have activated it you can :-

2 - Login

You must be logged in to create galleries or upload photos. It's easy to see if you're logged in, check the bottom of the left hand column, if you're logged in you'll see a message saying Welcome <username>!, if not you'll see two links, one to Login and one to register. If you haven't registered, see the above paragraph, else login using your username and password, Once you're logged in :-

3 - Go to the Fetish Gallery section

Click on the link in the top left box marked "Fetish Photo Gallery", this will take you to our photo gallery section. Once you're there if you want to create a gallery, go to 4, if you want to upload into a gallery you've already created go to 5

4 - Creating a gallery

First of all make sure you are logged in. If you're not, follow the instructions given in the 'Login' section.
Once you are logged in, click on the Fetishlink Members Galleries section. In the top right you'll see a drop down menu called <<album actions>>. Click the 'new nested album' link in this menu. The page will then update to a blank album page. Continue to step 5.

5 - Uploading Pictures

To upload a picture into the album you've created, make sure you're currently on the album's page. If you haven't uploaded any pictures, you can click on the '[Hey! Add some photos.]' link in the middle. Otherwise look at the top right for the <<album actions>> drop down menu and select the 'add photos' option

This will open a pop up window with various ways of uploading. For the purposes of this example we'll use the simplest method (and default) which is 'Form'

The form defaults to uploading 5 pictures at a time (You don't have to use all the boxes!). Simply use the browse buttons to select pictures from your pc and optionally fill in the caption boxes, e.g 'Spanking my girlfriend', 'Julie in rubber dress' etc. Once you've selected the pictures you'd like to upload, hit the 'Upload Now' button. The upload may take a while, depending on your connection speed. Once it's completed, the page will automatically update to show the pictures. If nothing seems to happen, see Step 6.

If you have more picture you wish to upload, simply repeat the procedure.

6 - Help! I can't see my pictures!

There are two reasons why this might happen. The first is that you have a popup blocker active. This stops the page autorefreshing to display the uploaded images. Simply refresh the page to see the pictures. The second is that you've tried to upload too many pictures of too big a size. Close the popup windows and try again with fewer/smaller pics.

7 - I'm still having problems uploading!

Email the webmaster with any other problems/queries

8 - Ok, I've uploaded all the pics I want to, now what?

Go back to the members gallery page, your gallery and a highlight picture should appear. The next thing you'll probably want to do is to use the <<album actions>> under your album to 'edit title' and 'edit description' to something more descriptive than the default 'Untitled' and blank. You'll then want to use the 'permissions' option to change the 'Users who can change album text' to 'NOBODY' to stop other users being able to edit your album title and descriptions! You might also want to change the 'Users who can create sub albums' option to 'NOBODY' if you don't want anyone else creating sub-albums within yours! Changing any other option is not recommended, as it may result in people being unable to see your pictures!

8 - Thankyou for contributing!
