Club Philosophy

Afterlife is a fusion of the dark European clubs and with elements of a more traditional gothic/rock club. There is also a strong erotic influence, which adds to the kinky fun night out! Our aim is to re create clubs seen in films such as Blade and the Matrix 2. Afterlife could be described as an alternative club night trying to recreate the artistic ways of a cool high energy but dark atmospheric club, with a curiosity twist around each corner. Our idea is to start a cultural European club revolution, which includes the music, the fashion, and the aesthetic.

The club also has a range of professional play equipment in a designated area for the more adventurous amongst us. There is some equipment in a separate room and other small pieces of equipment behind screens in the main room.

The dress code we are aiming for is a wild unique individual fashion. We admire people who wear what they are willing to wear even if it is way out and it makes our club special because people can come dressed in there way out clothes and feel comfortable and fit it. Some people have a more relaxed dress policy but that is also accepted too as long as they accept others tastes. Afterlife has regular competitions for the most outrageously dressed person! Afterlife is a place where people come to be there self that maybe wouldn’t be accepted in modern society, we celebrate the individuals in all of us. We are unique after all!

In an attempt to promote the ‘continental’ fashion we hold occasional theme nights which if also of course a great excuse to really express the self image in you.

The afterlife crew have already begun to work on the décor and the lighting but we have a long way to go yet and our regulars have a big impact on the décor and ideas for the night, we promote the fact that our regulars have a say in there night. We are also in process of hunting down someone to do visuals and for people to perform for us.

Afterlife is proud to have two DJ’s form Sin City held in Manchester, both could be described as cutting edge. They play a huge variety of music, form the more traditional gothic/rock bands to the more futuristic cyber/industrial noise bands that are at the cutting edge of the scene. The advantage of having Manchester DJs is tat they are always bringing new music to Preston that is up to date and interesting.

Association membership is available fro groups on request at no extra cost.
Afterlife is a social gathering for the like minded. It is an opportunity to meet old friendships and to make lots of new ones!

Music Policy

Afterlife is going back to it's roots from the good old days of Consent. Joining us are two new DJs from Sin City in Manchester. They will be bringing you all new high energy music like metal, future pop, alternative dance, cyber and industrial/noise. We aim to recreate the cool European club nights seen on such films as Blade 2 and Rollerball.

Music policy has expanded to include some metal for all the head bangers. For the goths there will be a huge variety from 80's goth right through to new wave goth. For the hard core fans there is some bangin' industrial and noise. For those more cosmopolitan amongst you there will be lots and lots of European music from the likes of Cyberpolis, VNV Nation, Icon of Coil, Nitzer Ebb, etc. There'll also be plenty of old school to keep the older amongst us happy.
